I have been teaching at St. James High School since 2020 and I teach High School students (9th to 12th grades).
What led you into teaching and what continues to motivate you?
The main thing that motivates me as a teacher is the genuine passion for educating, making a positive impact on students’ lives, and fostering a love for learning as well as the satisfaction of seeing students succeed and grow academically and personally.
What was your reaction to winning the award?
It was a pleasant surprise. My main wish was for my students to have the opportunity to visit Sky Zone.

My students were very excited and happy for me.
Have you been to Sky Zone before?
I have been there only once, and I can surely say that I liked it very much.
What do you find most rewarding about being a teacher?
I find the most rewarding aspect of my profession in the meaningful connections I build with my students. Witnessing the intellectual and personal growth of my students, helping them overcome challenges, and knowing that I have contributed to their education and development are gratifying aspects of being a teacher.
Outside of the classroom, what are some of your interests?
I enjoy watching movies, traveling, meeting new people, and playing with my kids.
